What scientists have discovered about Wheat Grass
A report on research carried out at the Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, stated “wheat grass appears to reduce symptoms and disease activity in patients with ulcerative colitis”. Studies carried out at the University of California, San Diego, have shown remarkable changes in damaged DNA upon the introduction of a compound found in young Wheat Grass. These studies were done on reproductive cells, and the results suggest that Wheat Grass may improve fertility and even restore fertility. Why is Vitamin-C So Important?
The complete Vitamin-C Complex is essential to our health and survival. It prevents damage to the cellular DNA of our body cells and tissues. What is the Optimum Level of Vitamin-C to take?
Many studies show that isolated ascorbic acid in pills and supplements do not function as effectively as the complete, natural Vitamin-C Complex. A mega-dose 1,000 mg capsule of vitamin-C may sound impressive but you will never see such high concentrations in nature – they only ever exist in synthetic supplements produced in a laboratory. Remember, natural vitamin complexes, with all their synergistic co-factors, are super-effective in smaller doses, and they work without depleting the body of vital reserves. On the other hand, mega-doses of isolated, synthetic Vitamin-C (ascorbc acid) can actually lead to vitamin and other nutrient deficiencies.
Currently, the recommended daily dietary allowance (RDA) of Vitamin-C is 75 mg for adult women and 90 mg for adult men, which is sufficient to prevent diseases arising from severe Vitamin-C deficiency, such as scurvy. This has led to a recommendation that the RDA for Vitamin-C be increased to a minimum of 200 mg”.
